Looking for something special for your spouse or significant other this Valentines Day? Paired guitar lessons are a great way to learn to play music with somebody who’s important to you! I enjoy teaching “paired” lessons greatly. I’ve had a father and son get back-to-back half-hour guitar lessons and a married couple with the same program. Each member of the pair gets to sit in on the other’s lesson- and so far, this seems to be not only highly enjoyable for all concerned, but a pretty effective way to get a guitar lesson as well. The lesson starts with a focus on one person while the other one listens, then our focus switches to the other person. It seems so far that one member has more experience than the other, but both have an interest in learning to play better – or in some cases, just to be introduced to guitar playing. Either way, it’s a fun experience for both students!
