Do you think some people can actually “hear” a color?

In fact, we’re all familiar with some famous actors, artists and musicians who share this interesting sensory condition. It turns out though that there are so many similarities between the design of art and music, we can use them to “see the music” ourselves!

See the Music is an engaging, hour-long, interactive presentation that culminates in the audience participating in the creation of an original piece of music!

We discuss how the human brain interprets data, pattern recognition, art theory and a bit of history. We look at some famous (and not so famous) paintings and the ways that music uses some of the same terms and ideas as art. Together we choose a rhythm, line, color and form for our original musical piece.

At a “See the Music” experience, your members will learn something new, enjoy an engaging activity with their peers and perhaps, rekindle an interest in creating their own art or music! Download a one-page pdf here.
