With a wide range of styles and genres, guitarist Paul Elwood provides musical entertainment as a solo, duo or trio act. Paul provides a tasteful musical backdrop for private parties, cocktail hour, dinner or a romantic tete-a-tete. Whether you are a restaurant owner, hosting a corporate event or throwing a private party, your guests will certainly enjoy the music! 

I play music from the Great American Songbook as well as popular music from the 50’s to the present. The “Great American Songbook” is the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century that have stood the test of time in their life and legacy.

American Standards

Often referred to as “American Standards”, the songs published during the Golden Age of this genre include those popular and enduring tunes from the 1920s to the 1950s that were created for Broadway theatre, musical theatre, and Hollywood musical film.

Although several collections of music have been published under the “Great American Songbook” title, the term does not refer to any actual book or specific list of songs. The Great American Songbook includes standards by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Hoagy Carmichael, Richard Rodgers, and Oscar Hammerstein II, among others.

Repertoire includes an eclectic mix of classic and current popular, blues and rock tunes.

Recently relocated to Voorhees, NJ, Paul plays guitar and sings, of course as a solo act. As a trio, we are guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. We are also available as a quartet or full 5-piece band for all types of entertainment events including: country clubs, assisted living facilities, fundraising events, private parties, restaurants, hotels, pubs, night-clubs, cocktail lounges, festivals and special private occasions, inside or outdoors.
