This whiteboard video illustrates parts of the acoustic guitar for my beginning students to help them get more comfortable with the guitar. It’s a useful addition to their lessons and may also be helpful for anyone interested in how a guitar works.
If you play a bit already, you’re probably interested in covering a particular song. Maybe you have a few you’d like to be comfortable with! We’ll choose one from that list and break it down into manageable sections, getting it one piece at a time and most importantly, at a comfortable speed for you.
I’ll help you figure out any parts you’re having trouble with and offer suggestions for exercises that will help you overcome that problem. Timing, strumming, arpeggios, playing melody over chord changes, playing lead as well as rhythm guitar are all subjects we can focus on.
I will often create a custom video with supporting materials for your song specifically and I have loaner guitars for beginning students, available for a nominal fee.
