If you’re interested in finding other musicians to play with, here are some ideas. Making music is good for  you AND great fun!  Even more so when you’re doing it with other folks. Here are some ideas about finding people to play with.

BandMix

You can open an account for free, tell your story and post your music and videos. The free account won’t let you contact other members through the website- you have to pay $12 per month for that- but it might be a good way for you to see who is around and interested in the kind of music you want to do. https://bandmix.com

CraigsList

First, navigate to craigslist and make sure you are in the right area! For me that would be South Jersey. the web address for that is https://southjersey.craigslist.org/

In the banner at the top of the page, left-hand side you can see an icon link to “POST”

Make a post telling who you are, what you want to do and who(or what) you are looking for. For instance, mine might say that I am a musician in Voorhees, looking for a bass player to work with as a duo for winery gigs. You might also add a link to a video or audio file(s) and post up some photos using the Craigslist interface.   Here’s what mine looks like for a second guitarist below.

Craigslist is free to post to your community (like local musicians) but please be careful about what you are posting regards personal information. Also remember that the more information you present about who you’re looking for, the more likely you are to find somebody who meets that criteria… who’s looking for you too!
