Here are three ways to play a C chord. It’s important to remember that for a major chord (triad, three notes) we need the 1, 3 and 5 of the scale. The C scale is C, D, E, F, G, A, B and C. Looking at the scale numerically, C is 1, E is 3 and G is 5, so we spell C major with C, E and G. Download the pdf for instructions and chord diagrams for 3 different ways to play those three notes.
