I tackled this project again, more completely this time. Only first position chords are enabled, like up to around the eighth fret. Still to come: onboard tuner, metronome, chord spelling and some better samples! Also, play the chord notes ensemble when the chord is chosen. Done for now though, open it full-screen here.

For a while, most of my personal art pieces were of anthropomorphic mice. I made a whole series of mice-family drawings; this is one of my favorites. Pencil on tracing paper, circa 1993 or so.

Simple Flash Calendar
Practicing actionScript over the holiday weekend. This calendar features forward and back navigation, build boxes and populate dynamically, hide dates before and after the current month, and you can choose different sets of backgrounds. There are 3 sets currently. It’s only 19K so it loads pretty quickly; depending on the graphics though, your mileage may vary. If you’re interested in the code, the fla is here; I’ve remarked it as thoroughly as I thought useful. *** For wordpress, and I guess, other similar frameworks, the links to the images must be absolute, so keep that in mind if you post up some images and don’t see what you expect. I put in a Halo, seasonal and a duCret school of art set, which you can view by clicking the little upward-pointing button at the bottom of the calendar. Enjoy!

Christmas card 09
Last year’s online Christmas card, featuring White Christmas” on my still fairly new Taylor guitar as background music. The swf picks up the recipients name string from the page address- in this case, Travis- and displays it in the body of the card. The card is here .
